AN APOLOGY: I write novels too, and the day (or the day after) this article was published I became overcome with the writing bug, as is my style, and ended up writing 60K words in one month.

When this happens, I lose sight of everything else, and unfortunately that includes Medium. I hate replying to your comments after 24 days, and I'm so sorry about that. Only today have I "returned" to Medium, so to speak.

PS. the book's done and out, so at least this break wasn't for nothing.
