I am the same way, in that I hate doing nothing. It's almost a physical itch. I am almost always tapping my feet, writing, scrolling social media, networking, playing with a rubber band while talking on the phone. I can never stay still.
The idea that boredom might actually be beneficial is something I'd never considered, so thank you for this story. Maybe I too can benefit from doing little to nothing for 30 minutes or so every once in a while.
