Wow, a whole argument broke out while I was gone. I use Pexels and Unsplash, and whenever you type in "depression", there are mainly pictures of women, and this partuclar one's expression could also mean she's tired, or sleepy, i.e. on the surface not, but on a deeper level (secretly) possibly, depressed. I could find no other picture, male or female, which was ambiguous. All the others are quite obviously depressed. (And I personally neither enjoy nor have the facial range to pull off a selfie with a similar expression.)
